So
we are back with the Ryder's in this latest Melissa Foster's latest book and I
am eager to get started.
Duke
Ryder finds himself on the Elpitha island; a place that looks more like a
Mediterranean island, than an island off of the coast of South Carolina. But he
is here to make a deal and buy the island for development. Duke has all these
plans in his head, until he meets Gabriella Liakos and then suddenly everything
changes.
Gabriella
Liakos is a New York City family law attorney, whose heart really remained on
Elpitha island with the rest of the family, where there are no roads and all of
her family still speaks Greek to each other. But now her grandfather has asked
her to show this potential developer around and Gabriella is not happy and
wants this developer off her families island as quickly as possible and she
plans to make it as uncomfortable for him as possible! Until she meets Duke
Ryder and then her feeling become torn.
Duke
and Gabriella start this dance of love and attractions, but with Duke being a
Ryder; he just wants to make everything better for Gabriella and to keep her
safe and happy! But Gabriella is struggling with torn loyalties between her
love for the island and Duke. Will she find a balance or will she be made to
choose?
I
have to say that I am amazed by Melissa Foster skill at keeping all of these
series straight in her head! I always have to read the other books before
starting a new book in the series. But I have to say that the author's quality
of writing is outstanding. I truly felt
the anxiety that Gabriella felt over being torn between Duke and her love for
the island. I loved the way that Duke felt empathy for little David and took
time to teach him how to catch a baseball and found his strength as a pitcher!
I loved the way that even if Duke was away, he made sure that Gabriella got
home safe and truly I can go on and on!
I
honestly think that Claimed by Love is honestly my favorite Melissa Foster book
of all time, because it is just pure love! Family love, hero-worship and new
passionate love and it is safe to say I LOVED every moment of it!
