Forever
STOP RUNNING . . .AND START FALLING
For
Ruby James the Walker Mountain Ranch is her safe haven. Here in Aspen,
Colorado, she can finally build a quiet life for herself without fear of
her old one rearing its ugly head. Or so Ruby thinks. Any single woman
would be happy to indulge a tall, dark, and curious cop-but the closer
Ruby gets to him, the closer she gets to losing her newfound peace.
Police
officer Sawyer Hawkins is no stranger to secrets. He's ready to leave
town for good until a security threat brings him back to Walker Ranch,
and Ruby's gorgeous green eyes soon have him second-guessing his
decision to go. Her kindness and quiet strength awaken feelings he'd
thought long buried, even as her reluctance to talk about her past
worries him. The cop in Sawyer only wants the truth-but the man in him
wants Ruby in his arms forever . .
Ruby James is an enigma to the people of Walker Mountain
Ranch, but Ruby has an amazing heart and gives everything to help the foster
children who come for a respite. And Ruby is content with hiding who she really
is, in order to be free of her violent past. But when Police Officer Sawyer
Hawkins moves in to the ranch and starts trying to be friend with Ruby, Ruby freaks out and wants to flee…
Sawyer Hawkins is finally getting on with his life after his
wife having a miscarriage and then losing his wife to one of his so called
friends. So Sawyer is leaving Aspen Colorado for the bright lights and mean
streets of Denver and a well deserved fresh start. But when thefts start
happening at the Walker Ranch, he steps
in to help his family. But it's not just the thefts that catch his eye, but the
mysterious Ruby! But not in a police business way, but in a heart pounding
gotta have it kinda way and even though Sawyer is leaving, he doesn't want to
let go…
So I am going to leave it there as I really don't want to
spoil this book. Now I have not read any of the Heart of the Rockies series
books, but honestly that doesn't matter! There was no confusion on the
characters or the plot. The writing was smooth and enjoyable, despite the
heartbreaking storyline and I felt that it was paced nicely, without any fluff
or long and drawn out ridiculousness. The characters were likable and the
storyline was sweet, with balancing the awful reality of domestic violence.
I really enjoyed reading More Than A Feeling and that is why
I give it 4 stars!

Eventually,
Sara did the responsible thing and got an education in writing and

ignoring the voices in her head and started writing fiction. Now, she

two young sons. Her first contemporary romance, No Better Man, was
