I want to start my review on Bad Boys After Dark: Brett, with a confession...I have not read all of the books in this series! Shock horror! I know! There is a Melissa Foster series that I haven't read in full, but I will say, it wasn't a huge deal, as the author did rehash the storyline, but in all honesty, it would have been better not to miss a book in this series.
Now, let me explain just how flipping perfect this book is! He wooed her with an author! That's right! Books, authors, and bookstores! It truly is the way to every women's heart! But I digress; it best for me to start at the beginning, and introduce Brett is by calling him what he is...a man whore! But Brett has one Achilles heel, and that is Sophie. But Sophie is smart, but then he plays her weakness, books, and she realizes there is more to Brett than the cocky side he always displays. But in order to move forward, Brett has to get over the pain in his past, and you wonder, is he strong enough for that?
This book is filled with all of the emotions! And trust me when I say, you will feel all of them. By the end of the book, I did regret not reading all of the other books in the series, but I also felt at peace, like this book would always be the natural end for this family because it is honestly just filled with so much love.
I give Bad Boys After Dark: Brett 5 stars!
