Fiercely independent
and determined to be taken seriously in a man’s world, PI Rose Baxter
will do whatever it takes to find the kids who are disappearing from the
streets and bring them home safe, even teaming up with PI Marty Brown, a
man hot enough to burn whatever part of her gets too close – her
fingers, her sheets, her life, and her other nature’s whiskers.
But
her other nature knows whiskers grow back and will accept nothing less
than this man as her mate for life, a plan Marty’s all in on. Sparks fly
when she refuses to be the little woman. Besides, those kids need her
and their time’s running out. But, thrown together 24/7 can she fight
it?

I
never used to like Shifter/paranormal romances. Then slowly I have warmed up to
Werewolf books, but this is the first one I have every read when it is solely
cats and I have to say that I really enjoyed it.

The
story is such an unusual one. Both Marty and Rosie are shifters but didn't
realize it at first, but that could be because they were too busy trying to
ignore the crazy sexual attraction and also trying to observe their perp. After
a disaster of a night they join sides...although somewhat reluctantly on
Rosie's side. I am going to stop the story there, so not to give anything away.

I
really enjoyed the story; it was such a change to read about cats instead of
Alpha Wolfs and their mates (even though I love them). You can tell the Author
put a lot of thought in to the plot and into each character in the story. For
that reason I give the story 9 out of 10, a must read for the summer.
