The first full length Gypsy Brothers novel from the smash hit author Lili St. Germain.
How much is a life worth?
I
grew up in Colombia, the daughter of a wealthy drug lord. I lived a
life of extravagance, until one day a drug run went horribly wrong and
everything came crashing down around us.
I was given away. A
payment for a debt. The Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club became my new
owners, and I did everything I could to survive.
But falling in love with the man who owned me wasn't part of the plan...
So I
felt like reading something different, something that I was unlikely to
normally read…so I went dark suspense! Something that I hadn't read before and
I managed to find that in Cartel by Lili St.Germain, so let me tell you about
it.
Mariana
(Ana) is the daughter of a drug lord; but Marco (Ana's Father) is very stupid,
drunk and abusive drug lord. But this time he has screwed up beyond measure by
allowing half a million dollars in drugs to be seized by the DEA and now he
must pay! And the person that will make that happen is Emilio; the head of the
cartel and a ruthless man who plans to kill all of Ana's family revenge for
Marco's mistake and as a show of strength. But Ana talks him into taking her
instead and leaving her family alive.
Now Ana
enters a world test, pain and blood at the hands of Emilio and Murphy the dirty
Air Marshal that is on Emilio's payroll. When Ana thinks it can't get any
worse, the Gypsy Motor cycle club buys her and now she belongs to them and you
are left wondering if Ana will survive!
As
I said before dark suspense is not a normal sub-genre for me but the blurb on
this story drew me in, even before I found out that it was a trilogy. I will
honestly say that the story doesn't feel incomplete and there is no cliffhanger,
it honestly just feels like you are just taking a breath…if that makes sense?!
The
plot and writing was smooth, gripping and compelling! There were no sweet,
loving moments in this book! It’s hot, dirty and bloody. With threats of rape
and murder this book is truly not for the faint of heart and when it comes to
the characters! There are no lovable characters here, not even when it comes to
Ana! She is a hard and sarcastic women, who was made like that by the life and
the losses that she was forced to have.
I give
Cartel 5 stars and I can't wait to read book two in this trilogy!
