Hard To Serve

Hard Ink #4.7

By: Laura Kaye

Released: June 28th, 2016

Evil Eye Concepts, Incorporated

To
protect and serve is all Detective Kyler Vance ever wanted to do, so
when Internal Affairs investigates him as part of the new police
commissioner’s bid to oust corruption, everything is on the line. Which
makes meeting a smart, gorgeous submissive at an exclusive play club the
perfect distraction…

The
director of the city’s hottest art gallery, Mia Breslin’s career is
golden. Now if only she could find a man to dominate her nights and set
her body—and her heart—on fire. When a scorching scene with a
hard-bodied, brooding Dom at Blasphemy promises just that, Mia is lured
to serve Kyler again and again.

As
their relationship burns hotter, Kyler runs into Mia at work and learns
that he’s been dominating the daughter of the hard-ass boss who has it
in for him. Now Kyler must choose between life-long duty and forbidden
desire before Mia finds another who’s not so hard to serve.

If you have been reading the Hard Ink series then you will remember
Detective Kyler Vance. Well we rejoin Vance
and he is dealing with the aftermath of the attack on the Hard Ink
warehouse…by being investigated by the new Police Commissioner and Internal
Affairs for corruption! Thankfully its not just him who is under investigation,
but everyone; but that honestly doesn't make it any better. But what does give
him relief is the exclusive play club Blasphemy, that he is not only a member
off, but one of the owners!

Mia Breslin has needs and now she is going to fulfill them! She is on
fast track to the top of her career after getting the position as Director of
one of the city's hottest Art Gallery's and now she is finally taking the leap
in finding a man to dominate her.

The minute Vance sees Mia at Blasphemy, he knows he wants her! But
Vance doesn't do relationships and after guiding her through a hot scene, he
pushes her away…until the next time she walks in. He can't seem to get Mia out
of his head, but when real-life interferes with what they have, Vance walks
away from Mia for good and breaks her heart…but is that really the end or will
advice from a surprising person spur Vance into action?

I cannot get enough of the Hard Ink series or the spin offs! And with
Hard To  Serve; Laura Kaye has not only
given us humble readers, another look back at the characters that we know and
love! But introducing us to another group of characters that I can wait to fall
in love with. Like with everything Laura Kaye writes; Hard to Serve is well
written and the plot is hot, steamy and delicious! When it comes to the
characters (and I have to be careful not to give too much away), you honestly
can't help but want to be dominated by Master Vance! Or love Mia's sweetness
and desire to please!

I give Hard To Serve 5 stars! And a huge kudos to the author for a
great start to a new series.
