Sinful Brides #3

By Christi Caldwell

Montlake Romance

Source: Book I purchased.

In the third installment of USA Today bestselling author Christi Caldwell’s Sinful Brides series, a rogue turned bodyguard risks his heart on the woman he’s hired to protect.

At the notorious Hell and Sin Club nestled in London’s dark streets, Niall Marksman relishes taking the fortunes of the very same society that once disregarded his existence. Oh yes, Niall has sold his soul to the devil and paid dearly. It’s only when Lady Diana Verney appears at the gaming club looking for help that Niall knows that the devil has finally come to collect … by forcing him to protect the duke’s pampered daughter.

Disdained by the peerage and ignored by her father, Diana knows that someone wants to harm her. Her only protection is Niall, a scarred, intense man who lives and dies by the knife. Now her life and safety are in the hands of the most dangerous man in London. But a man raised on the city’s mercenary streets is adept at stealing anything he wishes—including a lady’s reputation and her heart.

Before I start even getting it to this book I want to give you all a
warning!!!! You're going to need a huge box of Kleenex and something to take
the puffiness away from your eyes, cause if you are anything like me, you are
going to be blubbering your fool head off all the way through this book!

Niall Marksman has been my favorite character in the Sinful Brides
series by Christi Caldwell! All the way through the books I have been drawn to
him, but it wasn't until his book (The Lady's Guard), that you really know the
depth of him. And then in walks Lady Diana Verney…aka Ryker Black's sister… to
upset the apple cart, and then she stabs him! by accident of course! But that
sets us on an adventure, with two of the most lonely souls that I have
experienced!...hence the tears. Now I will not go into any more of the story,
as I refuse to spoil it for everyone, but I will say…I see what you are doing
there Ms. Caldwell! With Calum and Cleo! And boy do I like it!!! Oh the
fireworks!

Every part of this book is beautiful; from the plot to the writing and
characters! It's just SO superb! And that is in truth shows what type of an
author Christi Caldwell is; not only does she a write a book in such a way that
it's new, refreshing, and keeps you on the edge of your seat! But she manages
to pull it off in one of the most difficult sub-genre imaginable, Historical
Romance!!

With all that being said, I want to give kudos to the author, for yet
another amazing book! And I honestly cannot wait for the next installment.

I give The Lady's Guard 5 stars!

USA Today Bestselling author, Christi Caldwell blames Judith McNaught's "Whitney, My Love," for luring her into the world of historical romance. While sitting in her graduate school apartment at the University of Connecticut, Christi decided to set aside her notes and try her hand at writing romance. She believes the most perfect heroes and heroines have imperfections and she rather enjoys tormenting them before crafting a well-deserved happily ever after!

Christi makes her home in Southern Connecticut where she spends her time writing, chasing around her feisty six-year old son and caring for her twin princesses in training!
