There I was, minding my own business, getting down to the new The Braden & Montgomery's book by author Melissa Foster, filled with super-hot people, protective men, strong women, horses, everything I have come to love in a book for this author, and I was psyched!! But what I got was handcuffs, blow up dolls, handyman, heartbreak and a da*n good time!
Anything for Love is Beau Braden's book, but don't worry if you haven't read any other books in the series, this book and all the others by this author can be read as a stand-alone.
But anyway, Beau has arrived at Sterling House in the Colorado Mountains, to do a favor for his cousin, before he heads to L.A. to hide from his heartbreak. But from the moment he met Charlotte Sterling, he knew life was going to become...interesting!
Oh my goodness, this book had me laughing, crying, cheering and sighing! Beau is a typical Braden, he is caring, protective, and hot! But after having his heart-broken when is high school sweetheart died in a car accident, he has this wall built up around his heart, and he has kept everyone in his life, including his family, at a firm distance.
Now Charlotte's life has been far from sunshine and roses too, but she is determined to go the whole hog at life and love it! From handcuffed blowup dolls to her chickendales, Charlotte is going to live her life, just the way she needs to. Now, despite how I just made that sound, Charlotte's character is not a girl power, boss lady type character! More like an accidental seductress exclusively of Beau Braden!
This has to be one of the best contemporary fiction books of the year! And one that I wholeheartedly recommend!
